This year the regular annual session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will focus on two thematic issues:

  2. Gender and all forms of discrimination, in particular racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.

The Commission will also adopt its new work program for the period 2002-2005.

Briefings and special panels organized by UN bodies and women's NGOs will also take place during the session, and NGO caucus meetings will be scheduled.
