As members of the Mercy International Justice Network we send greetings on this feast of Christmas - the great feast of human dignity.

As members of the justice network we wish to especially uphold the human dignity of all peoples, especially those who are pushed to the margins, by those more powerful in this society than they are. We are working to alleviate violence in this world with a special focus on assisting women and children, and those who are affected by racism. Let us continue to re-live the wondrous moment of the birth of Jesus as we join together in celebration at this time.

Dear Sisters,
From Newfoundland and Labrador, we send greetings and best wishes to you, our sisters in Mercy around the world, as you prepare to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity.
With you we rejoice as we ponder the mystery and wonder of this great event in human history. We pray that the God of Love will continue to enrich your lives and those of your loved ones with the joy and peace of that first Christmas night.
Peace and Blessings!

Brenda, Diane, Madonna, Marcella and Helen

May we become more aware of the mystery of the indwelling Presence of Christ as we deal daily with the sick and the poor whom we meet daily. Perhaps an inward nod to remind ourselves of the God within those we meet on our journey. Blessings on all Sisters of Mercy and their Associates.

Sister Margaret Ritchie, RSM and the Sisters at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
