"The flowers appear on the earth.. The time for singing has come." Song of
Songs 2:12

May we not cease from singing of the hope we have in our hearts because our
God is among us.

A Celtic Blessing from the land which has been so significant in the Mercy
story:

The light of the Christmas star to you.
The warmth of home and hearth to you.
The joy of a thousand angels to you.

Ethel M Bignell rsm New Zealand/Dublin

Feliz Navidad a todos! In a world of aching need, we join in the spirit of this season, creating the space for God unfolding her deepest desires within each and for all, the sacred darkness opening into God's glorious light. God in each of us honors God in each of us... Namasté into 2005!

From North Carolina, the land of the dogwood trees and from half a world away in Guam, the land of coconut crabs where Americas day begins, the members and associates of the Regional Community of North Carolina rejoice along with our Sister and Associates worldwide during the observance and prayerful preparation of Advent, through the birth of the Lord Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, and far beyond. Blessed Christmas to each of you and may the kind and generous spirit of Jesus bring mercy, peace, joy, love and forgiveness to us all.

Kris Reich Mercy Associate North Carolina/Americas

To all Mercy Women, Loving prayerful wishes for a truly joyous Christmas. My support is with you at this time. May "peace on earth" be a reality especially in our war torn areas. May 2005 bring hope to our troubled world and may our hearts expand with promise as we live out our hope in Jesus who comes and is with us. Blessings upon each one of you, your families and those you love.

Nance Cale rsm Wilcannia Forbes Congregation/Australia

I want to send greetings to all Sisters of Mercy particularly in New Foundland and in Guam. It was a wonderful experience to have Shelia from Newfoundland staying with us in Stanmore, Sydney and the spirit of Catherine so alive in Guam was a great gift to me when I stayed with the Sisters last month. Loving Christmas greetings to all.
