Christmas Greetings 2004

Nga mihi aroha i runga i te ahuatanga o te ra i whanau ai a Hehu Karaiti

Loving greetings to you all at this time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Your sisters in Aotearoa New Zealand greet you all!

As we prepare to celebrate this blessed Feast and enjoy this grace-filled season (and our holiday season!) we think of you all and pray that you and your community be blessed wherever you may be. Please do keep us all in prayer too as we move along in the process of our four Congregations becoming one new Congregation, hopefully in June 2005.

Mary Hanrahan rsm Federation President Aotearoa/New Zealand

Christmas - a time for reconciling and embracing difference, replacing fear with hope, suspicion with trust, violence with peace.

May this Christmas bring you renewed hope and joy and may your new year be
filled with blessings.

Sisters of Mercy Brisbane Congregation /Australia

Love never gives up and its faith hope and patience never fail. There are inspired messages but they are temporary. There is knowledge but it will pass. For our gifts of knowledge and inspired messages are only partial; but when what is perfect comes, then what is partial will disappear.

1 Cor.13:8-10

May we each hold firmly to the love which never gives up waiting for that which our faith assures us will come.

Christmas greetings with love to all in the Mercy family,

Sisters of Mercy West Perth/Western Australia

Great Joy!

May we, Mercy shepherds,
From the highways, byways ...
Come home to Bethlehem,
And taste new truth,
And hear new song,
And live new gift:
New depths of intimacy with our God,
Who shares our very flesh,
This Christmas every day!

Marcella Blake rsm Perth Congregation/Western Australia

Warm Christmas greetings from the Sisters of Mercy on Guam! We send you
our prayers and glad tidings!
