Christmas Greetings 2004

Christmas Greetings to you at this time when we gather with family, community and friends to celebrate the extraordinarily fragile disclosure of our God's transformative Presence in our midst.

In Mercy we give thanks for each other and for the inheritance of Catherine's great Spirit!

You may wish to view the Fraynework Christmas card at the link below (you will need Flash on your computer for the sound and animation). We send it with our love and gratitude for the privilege and the pleasure of being entrusted with carrying, designing and organising some of the significant digital communications for our Mercy world during the past year.

The story of angels and shepherds, of wise persons and a child who was born on Christmas Day in a time long ago, in a land far away, tells of the joy that He brought, the Peace that He gave and the message He taught. May that same message, so old yet so new, be a source of true joy and contentment.

Wishing you the Blessings of Christmas from Sister Evelyn and her Team Union/Great Britain

Dear Sr. Adele and Sisters,
Loving greetings for a very Blessed and Joyous Christmas and a Grace-filled New Year from all of us in the Philippines. We will be going to our Mother House in Tacloban Leyte on Monday to be in time for the Silver Jubilee celebration of Sister Francis Anover, on Dec. 22nd and spend Christmas and New Year together. Then we go back to our respective assignments.
In the Philippines the Dawn Masses for nine days from Dec. 16 to 24 have already started and there is not a single space left in the church. The Filipinos have great devotion to the Christmas Dawn Masses, attended by whole families!
We will be united in prayers at Christmas and the New year!

In Mercy and love, Sister Maria Villegas (for Sister M. Lourdes Amascual and Sisters)/Philippines

Dear Sisters, Associates and friends of Mercy around the world.

What a privilege to follow Jesus in the footsteps of Catherine. My Christmas wish for each of you is that you will find Peace in your heart in a troubled world, and Compassion in your heart in a world filled with apathy. May we each continue to build Catherine's dream.

Fondly Dale Jarvis, RSM

Christmas blessings to all our Mercy friends, family and associates. May you go often to the Bethlehem of your heart and visit the One who offers you peace. May you bring this peace into our world.

Provincial Office, Sisters of Mercy, Southern Province/Ireland

Greetings to all our friends throughout the world, May everyone enjoy the hope that is abundant, the mercy that is given to us in the birth of Jesus and the peace that is Christmas.
As we usher out the passing year and mark the beginning of the new...the words of Catherine McAuley come to mind, "The poor need our help today, not next week."
We wish all of you a peaceful, holy and prayerful Christmas season and New Year.

The Sisters of Mercy & the Mount Aloysius College Community Cresson, PA/The Americas

Merry christmas and a blessed New Year for all. Let us pray for a true Peace on Earth.

Mercy Associates U.K.

May this be a blessed Christmas for all of us Sisters and Associates across the world and may the peace of Christ reign in all our hearts and home.

May the peace of Christ energise each of us this Christmas, Kathleen M Murphy, Edinburgh/Great Britain

As you prepare to celebrate the wonder of God's gift to us, may you also embrace with joy the many gifts of this blessed and holy season. May your hearts rejoice as you ponder the mystery of Christ's birth; may your energies be renewed as you take time to celebrate with family and friends; and may your lives be touched in new ways with the peace, the hope and the love of Emmanuel.

Blessings from your sisters in Newfoundland and Labrador
