In Gardening the Soul Sister Stan tells this story:
"I once watched a long queue of women and children waiting to drop their buckets down into a very deep well in Nigeria. Towards the end, all the buckets weren't filled, but they shared what they had between them, and their joy was terrific."
May Easter be a time to celebrate such joy.

Hello everyone,
May the risen Christ be with us each day as we rise to greet the many challenges which face us in todays' world. May we share the joy of the risen Lord with all those whom we meet. Happy Easter.

As the Easter sun rises over the Tanami Desert and the Aboriginal community of Balgo in Western Australia, we rejoice with Tjitju (Jesus) as he brings a sense of hope to the Kukatja people and to us who are priviledged to live among them. May you all experience this Easter hope.

Easter greetings from Sibiu, Transylvania Romania.
We are in a valley surrounded by the beautiful Carppathian
Mountains. The town of Sibiu was founded in 1100 by the German
Saxons. The main church in Romania is Orthodox. There is also
the Romanian Catholic and Greek Catholic churches., and since
the 1989 revolution, many other small Portstant churches.
There is also a large Lutheran Church which predates Mart
in Luther, and has one altar preserved as it was when the
church was Catholic.
There was, of course persecution of the churches during the
40 some years of Communism However, only the Greek Catholic
church was completely closed, and many of the clergy in prison
for many years.
I have been here 13 years and usually go to the large Catholic
church in the large square in the center of town. The Mass
is always well attended, it is always a very well sung high
mass, with many young altar boys in attendance. Though the
liturgy is generally up to date, there are not yet altar girls
although some churches in other Romanian towns do have them
Usually the The Orthodox church celebrates Easter on a different
Sunday than the Catholic and Protestan churches. However,
this year all will celebrate Easter on the same Sunday. .
.
Happy Easter Season to all. Peace and Prayers,
From Sister Mary Rose Christy, Member of Mercy Community,
