Mercy Day Messages
Mercy Day Greetings 2004
On this day, as we gather together one in heart and spirit,
we ask through Our Lady of Mercy
to be gifted with compassion
to be blessed with generosity
to be guided in our discernments
and to celebrate God's mercy in our lives and in our world.
Congregational Leadership Team
Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy

A Mercy Greeting
We pray that our celebration of unity on September 24 2004
may be at one with the movement of God's Spirit
throughout our world...
calling us, as did our recent Institute Chapter,
‘to reconcile and embrace difference,
to replace fear with hope,
suspicion with trust,
violence with peace.'
From Patricia Fox, Paula Smith, Gwen Garland and all at the National Centre at Lewisham (Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia)

As the feast of Our Lady of Mercy draws near, we send you our greetings and best wishes. May the celebration of this feast be a source of great blessings for all of us, drawing us ever closer as a Mercy family; and may it deepen even further our appreciation of the gift of Mercy in our lives. We greet in a special way our sisters in the Philippines, and rejoice with you, as you prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of your founding on Mercy Day in 1954.
Affectionately, Sisters Helen, Marcella, Brenda, Diane, and Madonna
Newfoundland & Labrador

Our Lady of Mercy Blessings to all in our Mercy World on this day of her
feast! May all enjoy the festivities even as we pray and work for a
world
of peace and loving care. With affection to all.
Tina Geiger rsm
Institute Justice Team of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas

Happy Mercy Sisterhood Day to all our Mercy women who live alone, and to all those who dwell on the margins of cultures and spirit.
May the Mercy Soul touch and nourish us all on this day of remembering
and connecting.

This quotation seems to say it all to us here at Mercy Health and Aged Care
Melbourne as we celebrate Mercy Day.
Suddenly, gratefully
by laughter and fun we are transformed
a dream, a congregation, a charism
a community of Mercy joyfully reborn.
Mercy Day prayers and best wishes to all in our Mercy world from
