Mercy Day Messages
Happy Mercy Day !
'As custodians and stewards of Catherine's
Dream, we are called to ensure
that the values that give life to that dream, form the foundation
of our
ministry, so that Catherine's ideals will continue to find
expression in our
changed and changing world.' (Maria McGuiness)
Let us be courageous
in letting Mercy be free so that it can be expressed in
new ways in our time. Our love and best wishes.
Maura and the Perth Sisters (Australia)

Wishing each and every Mercy Sister and Associate every Grace
and Blessing for our Feast of Our Lady of Mercy. May we all be
united as we enjoy a comfortable cup of tea and where possible
share this with others as Catherine would.
Margaret Anne Crowe
R.S.M. West Wyalong. (Australia)

From the Mission House of the Northern Province, Ireland, we
send cordial greetings for a blessed Mercy Day to all our sisters
throughout the world, remembering especially you who live and
work among those without sufficient food and water and those
afflicted by recent storms and hurricanes. May we all shake hands
with Catherine today.

Dear Sisters and Associates,
From Latin America and the Caribbean
we send our cordial greetings for the the Feast
of our Mother of Mercy. In many parts of this area of the world,
September 24, our Lady of Mercy, is the feastday of the armed
forces, including the police.
So as we join together in gratitude
for our Congregation and for the life shared that continues
to inspire our commitment to God and the people of God, let us
pray for the powerful of this world that their hearts may be
filled with the Mercy of God, humble and always closest to the
poor.
With great affection in the spirit of Catherine,
Deborah Watson,
RSM MIJN
Focal Point Person for the Sisters and Associates of Latin America
and the Caribbean

Hello, Mercy World! May the spirit of Catherine--her giving,
loving, trusting, caring and compassionate spirit--carry Mercy
throughout our world through each one of us. And may this spirit
continue to grow in us all.
With deep gratitude to Catherine and
to my Mercy sisters...
Theresa M. DuRapau, RSM (New Orleans, LA, USA)

On this Mercy Day 2004
Rain down your love on us O God of Mercy. Fill us with the spirit
of compassion and justice as "Mercy
is a heart suffering over the suffering of others" (Thomas
Aquinas)
Sisters of Mercy, Ballarat East, Victoria, Australia

The Sisters of Mercy of the Kenyan Province of the Mercy Congregation
extend their good wishes and prayers for a blessed and peaceful
Mercy Day. These wishes go to all our sisters in our global family,
wherever they may be. We are grateful to God for the blessings
of the years past and look forward in hope that the spirit of
Catherine and her early companions will remain with us into the
future.
