Christmas Greetings 2006

Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3 | Page 4

Our christmas prayer is that we may recognise and acknowledge the presence of the sacred where we are reluctant sometimes to look:

  • among the homeless in our society
  • in our refugees
  • in our aboriginal brothers and sisters
  • in people who are different from us.

May we recognise God-in-us and give generous expression to this wonderful gift we all share.

May the spirit of Jesus be born in us this Christmas and be cradled in our hearts.
May it bring us life – the life of laughter and generosity and kindness and joy.
May it quicken our imaginations.
May its presence drive away fear and anxiety and greed and shame.
May it heal us and others; may it grow in us into wisdom and love.
Amen.

LIVE with Courage
LOVE with Compassion

Joining in Peace and Mercy at this very special time - the weather may be different in all of our Mercy places, however I pray that our unity will be spread among those with whom we partner in faith.
