TO ALL THE SISTERS OF MERCY
May you all have a very happy Christmas and I thank God for the Sisters of Mercy and the great works they do throughout the world.
I am now a great-grandmother , 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. I was educated from early childhood and then College by the Mercy Sisters who were not only my teachers, but also my friends.

As we celebrate the Incarnation, let us be grateful for the great gifts we have received through 175 years of Mercy and let us also celebrate the gift of Mercy we have been to countless people as we endeavoured and continue to endeavour to embrace the poor of our world. May we continue to reincarnate God's love in a fragmented and increasingly violent society. My prayer for our Mercy congregation throughout the world is that we be "steadfast in faith" and "joyful in hope" at this rebirth time.
