We, here in the Detroit Regional Community, are in the process of becoming part of the West Midwest Community. That happens on July 1, 2008 – a very short 2 years away! This past July, we had a gathering of all who could come. Over 600 Sisters and Associates came together to begin, to continue, to deepen our experience of Mercy Community as we will live it into the foreseeable future. As I learned in Dublin, every Sisters of Mercy is a sister. And so, even though I do not know you all, I can indeed claim you as Sister in Catherine McAuley who claims all of us in Christ. Happy Mercy Day!
