16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence is a global campaign to raise awareness about violence against women and its impact on a woman’s well-being.
The campaign commences on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and concludes on 10 December, Human Rights Day.
This year (2019), the goal of the 16 days campaign is to end gender-based violence (GBV) in the world of work.
Last year (2018), the Future We Need group (Ireland), of which Sisters of Mercy are a member, produced a series of leaflets, one for each day of the campaign. These have been re-edited for this year (2019) and re-uploaded in time for the start of this year’s campaign.
