2022 Programming: Call for Presenters

Many in our Mercy community have written in the past few weeks inquiring about in-person programming at Mercy International Centre. While we are still navigating lockdowns due to COVID-19 here in Ireland, MIA is very optimistic about opening Baggot Street in 2022. As we look to the future, the staff has started planning and scheduling retreats, programmes, and workshops for the next calendar year.

In our planning and in your messages, we are mindful of how many in our community have talents, expertise, and experiences to share in a retreat or workshop setting. With this, we would like to invite anyone who is interested in facilitating a workshop, hosting a programme, or leading a retreat at Mercy International in Dublin, or virtually, to please submit the Call for Presenters form. The intention behind a Call for Presenters is to diversify our speakers and welcome new and familiar faces to consider sharing their wisdom and gifts. The Call for Presenters is for Sisters, Associates, Ministries, Staff, and all who are called to share with the Mercy community. Proposals should be submitted by 28 May.

MIA anticipates more submissions than the number of programmes we are able to host in a calendar year. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee every potential presenter will be asked to host a session or retreat. The staff will thoughtfully review each submission and work to balance speakers and programmes offered.

In the coming weeks, MIA will continue to plan our programming calendar for 2022. We are grateful for your patience and prayers as we work to reschedule programming from 2020, coordinate with schools and ministries for visits, and implement new retreats. If you would like to connect about organizing a programme for your group or would like to share a theme or idea please do not hesitate to reach out!
