63 people were killed and 182 wounded in a suicide bombing at a wedding last Saturday evening in Kabul at what should have been a joyous occasion. The young couple’s invitation cards had read: ‘We celebrate “with a world of hope and desire.”’

UN Secretary-General, António Guterres in his message for the Day, has called on the human community ‘to reflect on the lives that have been changed forever as a result of terrorism.’
