Announcing the Young Mercy Leaders' Pilgrimage for 2025
We are delighted to announce the dates and details of our Young Mercy Leaders' Pilgrimage for 2025.
The gathering, which in 2025 will focus on secondary school (high school) students, will take place from 1st to 4th of July next year.
The Young Mercy Leaders’ Pilgrimage is an opportunity for second level students to gather together in Mercy International Centre in Dublin for a journey of empowerment and leadership. It offers the opportunity to connect with other students from Mercy schools and to learn about Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy. It also offers an insight into Mercy in Action across the world and our Action for Justice.
Participants also take part in workshops, pilgrimage walks, visits to sites associated with Catherine McAuley and lots of other fun activities. The material gleaned as part of the pilgrimage is useful for the students for essays and project work in school - under the headings of Religion, History, and English, to name a few!
The cost per pilgrim will be approximately €300. This includes the programme and food. Flights and accommodation are extra and are the responsibility of each person/group.
Chaperones generally accompany the group. The ratio between chaperone and students is 1:7.
