Today, Sisters of Mercy, through Mercy International Association, use their resources to respond to issues of global poverty demonstrated in the massive displacement of persons worldwide...This vision keeps alive the founding spirit of Catherine among peoples of the world most in need of God's compassion and mercy.

Therese Stritch rsm receives Woman of Courage Award (The Congregation)

UNANIMA International is a nongovernmental organization working for systemic change at the international level at the United Nations. In May, UNANIMA presented Sr. Therese Stritch, Kenya, with the UNANIMA International Woman of Courage award. A representative of UNANIMA said of Sr. Therese – “Therese is a woman who in the face of violence and difficulties has demonstrated her commitment to women and to the people of Kenya."
