Lenten Spirituality Reflection Series Begins Today

The first spirituality reflection of MIA’s Lenten Series is live today. Máire Hearty rsm, Head of Heritage and Spirituality at MIA, offers a prayer video for Ash Wednesday. The video can be viewed on our website here. Participants may also utilise the previously published Ash Wednesday Prayer Service. To receive emails throughout Lent, please read below and register.

You are invited to journey through the Lenten season with MIA through spirituality, prayer, and reflection. Participants will receive an email on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a reflection hosted by a different member of our global Mercy world including the Mercy Emerging Leaders Fellows. The theme of our prayer and reflection this Lent is 'Journey'. Please complete the form linked below to register for the Lenten Reflection Series.

MIA Prayer Intention: The People of Syria and Turkey

Mercy International continues to pray for the people of Turkey and Syria who have been impacted by devastating earthquakes. With Mercy and compassion, we keep all those affected in our thoughts and prayers and continue to seek ways the Mercy world can support their communities.

Together, we pray…

Incarnate God,

We ask you to help us respond compassionately to the needs of those suffering so greatly from the recent earthquakes. We ask your special blessing on those who are working to bring aid to the people who have survived the disaster, but whose lives are now so impacted by loss and grief. May all who are affected feel your warmth and strength, and may we each be inspired by You to act with generosity, compassion and in solidarity.
Amen.

The women in Mercy Works Creating Change for Women Through Advocacy Project in Cebu in the Philippines are moving from being victims to becoming confident, out-spoken advocates.
