Mercy Celebrations in Pakistan!
On the 15th, 16th & 17th February, Notre Dame Institute of Education in Karachi celebrated ten years since its foundation in September, 1991. Under the auspices of the Catholic Bishops' Conference, this Institute was established to enhance the quality of teacher education in Pakistan.
Sisters of Mercy from Australia have administered the programmes and been on staff with local lecturers and volunteers since its beginning. Congratulations to All! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
In the ten years, there have been 370 NDIE students (both Christian and Muslim) who have graduated with B.Ed and M.Ed and in the current academic year of 2001/02 there are 45 B.Ed and 33 M.Ed men and women enrolled at NDIE. Week-end Programme.
Friday, 15th February - Graduation Ceremony. Saturday, 16th February - Education Programme for Graduates. Celebratory Dinner. Sunday, 17th February - Mass of Thanksgiving in St. Patrick's Cathedral. Acknowledgement of colleagues and supporters of NDIE.
