At Assumption High School in Louisville, Kentucky, Catherine McAuley herself made an appearance, portrayed by public speaking teacher Paula Spugnardi.
Member schools of Mercy Education System of the Americas joined the global Mercy family in celebrating Mercy Day under a special theme: The Cloak of Mercy: From Many Homes, One Mercy Family – Wrapped in God’s Love.
They’ve collected photos and reflections into a new edition of their e-zine, Mercy Impact, which highlights joyful moments of prayer, service, and community.
From honoring Sisters and Mercy Associates to welcoming “Catherine McAuley” herself, these stories beautifully show Mercy alive in our world today.

Students, faculty and staff at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Chicago, Illinois, made tie-blankets to donate to local organizations helping immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
