Mercy International Centre
Mercy International Centre is staffed by a Team of eight - seven Sisters and one Mercy Associate. The Team is supported by two live-in Mercies / Mercy Associate Volunteers, the Sisters of Mercy of Ireland and a number of non Mercy Volunteers.
Team Members, working with the Director, carry responsibility for the ministry of Mercy International Centre ensuring that all areas of work enabling the Centre to operate efficiently and fruitfully are co-ordinated and running smoothly.
The two positions advertised are for:
Co-ordinators of the following services
- Household, Kitchen, Maintenance,
- Live-in Volunteers and Dining Room
All Team Members are required to carry a variety of other responsibilities. These cover the following:
Participation in Team Meetings, Hospitality, Reception, Conducting Visitor Tours, Facilitation of Programmes , Liturgy and general house responsibilities. Tasks are assigned according to the capabilities, expertise and experience of team members. A warm sense of Mercy hospitality, a capacity for full time work loads, an ability to work within a team and handle flexibilty are essential for all areas of responsibility.
The appointment is for two years.
