Mercy Summit - Day 2
On Wednesday, 11 September, 220 Year 6 Primary school students, most of them school leaders or members of their schools’ Mercy Action Groups, and 50 accompanying teachers gathered together at St.Kevins Eastwood to participate in Day 2 of the Mercy Summit.

The students were from schools founded by the North Sydney and Parramatta Congregations of the Sisters of Mercy.
On Day 1 of the Summit held in March this year the students had been given the task of completing a Mercy Project within their school. Last week they all gathered together in a 'Mercy Fair' concept to share with each other what they had been doing. Their high spirits were obvious as they began preparing their displays. The projects ranged from videos made about Catherine McAuley to show to the Kindergarten students - to a Mercy Values Fair - to fundraising brochures and ads for various Mercy organisations. The range of topics chosen was very wide. The enthusiasm of the students for all things Mercy was amazing!

The twenty Sisters of Mercy in attendance found the displays uplifting and commented that they knew Mercy was in safe hands and that Mercy would be alive long after they had gone. It was a truly inspiring display of mercy in action!
