MGP Reflective Posters & Flip Books on Segment One: 'Global'

We have been working on a way to summarise our first segment ‘Global’ for the Mercy Global Presence process, allowing participants time for reflection on the richness and depth of that work, and leading us gently into our next segment ‘Mercy’ beginning on 25 March 2020.
Here, now, is our plan :

We have created, in English and Spanish, 4 landscape sized posters, one for each of the monthly themes (September-December 2019). The context for each poster is the content of the month's theme. The poster content comprises the names of presenters, key words/phrases and images drawn from each monthly theme. Accompanying the posters is a suggested approach for using the posters for personal reflection. 

The first poster on the 'Cosmos/Cosmology' theme was made available on 5 February 2020. The 3 remaining posters were released consecutively on this page, linked through Mercy eNews on 12, 19, 26 February. On 26 February the complete set of posters in English was made available as a flipbook.

The idea (thinking ahead to June 2021 when the process formally concludes) is to create the series of 16 posters (one for each monthly theme) and this approach is one that could work for all four Segments.

The posters in themselves are artworks. They will be able to be downloaded and printed then pinned up on noticeboards, for example, in community rooms and classrooms, or framed for display in corridors, hallways, boardrooms, entrance foyers etc…They can be included in mailouts, whether these are by post or email. They can work as teaching aids, displays, MGP process advertorials and reminders…

The posters will be widely accessible - available to view online and downloadable, with each theme poster available separately and as the complete ‘set’ - the 4 posters will also become a flip book of the 4 themes together.

We hope that this ‘summary’ approach will ‘bridge’ the time between Segments, will encourage reflection and will enable newcomers an entry point into the process.
