MIA Board Farewells Mary Reynolds rsm
Editor: Last weekend, the MIA Board, at their first meeting at MIC for 2020, took the opportunity to thank Mary Reynolds rsm for her 11 years of dedicated service to MIA.
A commemorative brass plaque engraved ‘In gratitude to Mary Reynolds rsm, CEO of Mercy international Association 2009-2020’ was unveiled on one of the three benches in the Sacred Garden during a ritual on Friday afternoon, 7 February.
The bench chosen for the dedication is directly opposite Catherine’s grave and where a bed of Catherine McAuley roses bloom from early Summer.

On Friday evening at the Board dinner, via Zoom technology, the Members (Leaders) of MIA shared messages of gratitude for Sr Mary’s contribution to MIA and blessings for her future.
A bespoke glass lamp commissioned by the Board, designed by Irish glass artist Sue Donnellan and featuring the Catherine McAuley rose, was presented to Sr Mary by Ron Ashworth, Chair, on behalf of the MIA Board.
The lamp bears this inscription at its base:
