MIA Communication Milestones
Very recently we have been presented with Weaving a New Fabric of Mercy Through Global Contemplation and Ecological Conversion: A report of Mercy Global Presence Process. It is a comprehensive report of the Mercy Global Presence process linking it back to the Mercy International Reflection Process (MIRP) and even earlier to the International Mercy Research Conference held in Burlingame in November 2007. As many of you are aware, Anne Walsh (of Anne Walsh Communications, Melbourne) managed the Communications Plan for Mercy Global Presence right through to the publication of the final report.
Anne was also central to the setting up of communications for Mercy International Association, a particular milestone being that in 2021 it was 20 years since E-News was first published. We have seen many changes over the years. It is interesting to look through the archival collection available on the MIA website, the earliest edition available there being the final edition for 2009.
Anne, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution of skills and commitment over the years. Your influence has been far-reaching. Communication is central to MIA efforts and perhaps this has never been more important than in the last two years.
