MIA Prayer Intention: For All Suffering In This Pandemic

Words of Catherine:

"The simplest and most practical lesson I know - my dear Sister de Sales - is to be good today - but better tomorrow. Let us take one day only in hands - at a time, merely making a resolve for tomorrow. Thus we may hope to get on - taking short careful steps, not great strides."

—Catherine McAuley to Sister M de Sales White, Bermondsey.
(The Correspondence of Catherine McAuley 1818 – 1841.)

We hold in prayer all who are suffering in this pandemic, whether from the illness itself, the illness of family, friends and colleagues, the death of loved ones, economic hardship or in any of the other numerous ways in which people are being impacted.  It is a time of uncertainty for all.  May these wise words of Catherine help us all to have the courage we need to take the little steps we can take, as we listen to God’s invitation to us to be be co-creators of a better future for our Earth and all Earth-creatures.

Post your prayer in our online chapel.
