MIA Prayer Intention: International Day of Poverty

This week we mark the International Day of Poverty. In our prayers and actions let us remember:

Those who lack the resources to feed, house or care for themselves and must rely on the generosity of others;

Those who struggle bravely each day to make ends meet;

Those in countries where droughts, floods and locust plagues have made them food insecure;

Those who are victims of companies downsizing or outsourcing, or whose incomes are impacted as a result of the pandemic;

Those whose needs are forgotten in their government’s plans in response to the pandemic.

May we each be moved with compassion to respond to the needs of the people we encounter, or whose cries we hear, that whether rich or poor, all may flourish.

Post your prayer in our online chapel
