MIA Prayer Intention: Peace in Syria

15 March marks the 8th anniversary of the beginning of the Syrian war. During these years 500,000 people have been killed, 6.5 million people are now refugees, and within Syria itself, more than six million are displaced. The images of destruction, devastation and death are familiar to us all, with those of Aylan Kurdi (the drowned Kurdish-Syrian three-year-old boy who washed up on a Turkish beach) and five year old Omar Daqneesh (covered in dust and blood in a seat in an ambulance), particularly distressing.

Join us in praying for an end to the violence, suffering and destruction this war is inflicting on the people of Syria and their country. Join us in praying for peace, for community and for the harmony of fellowship.

Post a prayer in our online chapel.
