Mission Peer Review at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut, USA

(L-R): Dr. Moya K. Dittmeier (CMHE Executive Director), Sister Margaret Carney osf (CMHE Board Member and Team Chair), Sister Victoria Battell, rsm (Senior Vice President at Maria College NY), Sister Mary-Paula Cancienne rsm (CMHE Associate Director), and President Rhona Free, USJ

The purpose of the Mission Peer Review visit is to engage in dialogue with the University community about the strength of the Catholic identity and Mercy mission as expressed by the University. The University submitted an in-depth Self-study that explored how mission and identify are interwoven throughout the programs, policies, and practices; CMHE [Conference for Mercy Higher Education] then commissioned a four-member team to engage in conversations across the campus over a three-day period of time…

Following the Team's visit, a written report is shared with the University community and a certificate confirming on-going sponsorship in Mercy is issued to the University. This was the twelfth mission peer review (of 17) to be conducted by the Conference for Mercy Higher Education.
