New Year Greeting from Mercy International Association

As the New Year begins, Mercy International Association extends warm greetings to our global Mercy community, along with gratitude for the solidarity and commitment that continue to sustain our mission. This season invites both reflection and renewed energy as we carry forward the work of justice, compassion, and care for those most in need.

Throughout the year ahead, our Essential Works continue at 64A Lower Baggot Street, which remains a vital hub for coordination, collaboration, and advocacy across the Mercy network. While ongoing developments have required flexibility and patience, we look forward with hope to returning to the building by July 2026, strengthening our capacity to serve and to welcome people from across the Mercy World.

This New Year also marks the beginning of a meaningful countdown to a significant milestone: the 200th anniversary of the opening of the first House of Mercy on 24 September 1827. As we journey toward this bicentenary, we honor Catherine McAuley’s enduring vision and recommit ourselves to living Mercy boldly and faithfully in today’s world.

Al comenzar el Año Nuevo, la Asociación Internacional de la Misericordia extiende un cálido saludo a nuestra comunidad global de la Misericordia, junto con un profundo agradecimiento por la solidaridad y el compromiso que continúan sosteniendo nuestra misión.
