The Blessing with Water evoked the pouring of water into the Rill 25 years ago when water from the home countries was carried to Baggot Street and poured into the Rill at the Blessing and opening of MIC. This 'mingling of the waters' was then shared with those in attendance at the 1994 event, poured into small bottles and given to those present.

Today, Sr Bonnie poured back into the Rill the jar of water she had kept from 1994 and twelve Sisters using shells, scooped water from the rill and dipping fern fronds (symbol of unity) blessed the garden and those present.

Stones had already been placed into the Rill by each one present 'for water to flow over, to be transformed...and so send mercy flowing out to the ends of Earth'.
