)
This year we are offering the opportunity for a Lenten journey in Mercy with an online facilitated retreat entitled: Walking in Mercy.
The retreat will be offered by Caroline Thompson, MIA's Head of Heritage and Spirituality.
Speaking about the retreat Caroline said: "Why not kick start your Lenten program with a time of reflection, prayer and sharing? As Pope Francis noted: Lent is a favourable season for opening the doors to all those in need and recognising in them the face of Christ. Each of us meets people like this every day. Each life that we encounter is a gift deserving acceptance, respect and love … Lent is the favourable season for renewing our encounter with Christ, living in His word, in the sacraments and in our neighbour."
The retreat will be offered twice on Tuesday 17th February to allow the Mercy World to tune in at a time that best suits.
The first session will take place at 10.00am local time to Dublin which is 9.00pm in Australia (Melbourne), 8.00pm (Brisbane) and 6.00pm (Perth), and 7.30pm in India.
The same retreat will be delivered a second time at 2.00pm local time to Dublin, which is 9.00am in the US.
Both sessions will last approximately 45 minutes.
Participants will also be emailed weekly follow-up Lenten reflections based on the Gospel Readings of each Sunday.
We look forward to welcoming you.
