Saints in Waiting webinar hosted by Mercy International Association

On Wednesday 25th November 2026 we will host an online webinar entitled 'Saints In Waiting'.
The webinar will feature a discussion with some of the postulators for some of the causes for canonisation.
- Sister Anne Lyons PVBM will speak about Nano Nagle;
- Sr Elizabeth Cotter CJ Loreto will speak about Mary Ward;
- Sr Phyllis Behan RSC will speak about Mary Aikenhead; and,
- Sr Brenda Dolphin RSM (outgoing postulator) will speak about Catherine McAuley.
We will take some time out also to listen to some of the words of the Saints in Waiting and then hand over to Sarah MacDonald, Freelance Journalist and Editor of the Far East Magazine for moderation of a panel discussion with the postulators.
Just before the webinar concludes we will take the opportunity to introduce the incoming postulator for Catherine McAuley's cause for canonisation.
The webinar will take place at 3.00pm local time to Dublin on Zoom and is expected to last 90 minutes. The recording will be available to watch afterwards.

This webinar is part of a series of events and celebrations that are taking place between September 2026 and 2027 as MIA marks the 200th anniversary of the opening of Catherine McAuley's first House of Mercy in 1827.

What is Culture Night?
Culture Night is an annual, all-island public event which takes place each year on the second last Friday of September. It celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
Our Opening Times
We will be open as usual for all of Friday 18th September but our hours for Culture Night will be from 4.00pm to 9.00pm.
