Visitors to Catherine's House during October
)
We were delighted to welcome so so many pilgrims and visitors to Catherine McAuley's First House of Mercy during October.
We started the month with a visit from a large group of students from Mercy College Coolock. They had a tour of the House and a good cup of tea. We also hosted some of the pupils and teachers from the Catherine McAuley National School which is next door to us here on Baggot Street. We were also delighted to welcome a visiting alumni from Merrion Academy.
We had several large tour groups through the house - some of the pilgrims knew Catherine and many of them were discovering her story for the first time.
We welcomed back our friends from Mercy Health St Louis for a week-long programme and pilgrimage in the house.
We were delighted to be able host some more pupils from the Catherine McAuley Primary School a little later on in the month too.
A group of fifth year and transition year students from Mercy Beaumont joined us for a tour of the house and for a prayer service in the chapel. This group of young women are the faith leaders in their school.
We welcomed many Mercy Asociates during the month and also had a visit from some of the Sisters from Alma Mercy.
We also hosted a meeting of one of the Georgian Residents Association in our Community Room.
Our month closed with a week-long programme for Sisters visiting from the Philippines.
