Water Usage Greatly Reduced at Mercy Center

For over 20 years, Rick Stockton, maintenance supervisor at Mercy Center in St. Louis, Missouri, had previously been employed as heating and cooling supervisor at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

When he came to Mercy Center as Maintenance Supervisor, Rick became aware of how much water was being used and wasted by the refrigeration system which was being “Water Cooled”.

Drawing upon his past experience at the hospital, Rick began to think how this system could be changed to an “Air Cooled” system. Through the installation of pipes and compressors and “know how”, Rick was able to accomplish this, saving over 250,000 gallons of water per month, and saving over $1,600 a month. Bravo! What an accomplishment.
