Information Collected

As the mercy world.org.au site uses Google Analytics, the following information is collected by default:

  • Time of visit, pages visited, and time spent on each page of the webpages
  • Referring site details (such as the URI a user came through to arrive at this site)

  • Flash version, JavaScript support, screen resolution, and screen color processing ability

Google Analytics Terms of Service prohibits the collection of personally identifiable data such as name, email address, or billing information.

If a user wants to stop the mercyworld website from collecting usage data about them via Google Analytics, then he/she should:

  • disable Javascript in their browser
  • use Google’s Opt-out browser add-on
  • use a third-party tool such as Disconnect, Ghostery or Do No Track Me

Your email address will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it, and it will not be added to a mailing list.

We will not share any information about you with third parties, except as provided by civil privacy legislation.

Prayer Rooms

For the sake of your privacy on the internet, when you submit a prayer in the 3 Prayer Spaces section of this website (Chapel, Catherine's Graveside, Canonisation Cause Prayer Centre) you are asked to use only your first name or initials and to refrain from inputting identifiable information.

MercyeNews

Mercy International Association uses MailChimp to process personal data by collecting subscriber information for MercyeNews (first and surname, email address, country, relationship to Srs of Mercy) and to send out MercyeNews to subscribers.

The information we collect in this way is only used for the purpose of sending out MercyeNews.

Subscribers may opt out of receiving MercyeNews at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of an issue of MercyeNews or by emailing their request to mercyenews@mercyinternational.ie

You may also contact MailChimp directly to request deletion of your data.
