MIA Virtual Women's Christmas Retreat: January 6

Mercy International Association is pleased to announce a virtual celebration of Women's Christmas which will take place on Zoom on Friday, 6 January 2023. Women’s Christmas is an Irish tradition to mark the Feast of the Epiphany. The retreat will uncover stories of the women who ministered with Jesus. MIA would like to invite all within our Mercy community to gather virtually to pray, reflect, and celebrate together the gifts and challenges of this past year. The Cosmic Advent Wreath is rooted in “deep incarnation” – week one: God’s incarnation in the creation of the cosmos; week two: God’s incarnation in the creation of the solar system; week three: God’s incarnation in the person of Jesus the Christ; and week four: God’s incarnation in each being (human and other-than-human). Instructions are available here.

Reflection: You may wish to reflect personally or with one or two companions. You decide how long your time of contemplation will be.

Sacred Space: You are encouraged to shape your holy space – maybe choose a woven cloth, candle, plant, seashell, treasured image . . . You may want to play soft music or simply enjoy the silence.

Journal Pages: The journal pages will help gather your reflections. Download the version that best suits your needs. The single and two page versions carry exactly the same information. Only the font (print) sizes are different.
